#Brite16: The Flats Awakens
Brite Winter 2016 is bringing a lot of change. We’re going back to our roots and back to the Flats, but in so many other ways, we are branching out.
Moving to the Flats solidified old partnerships and forged new ones. Many of our new partners have bigger, louder and brighter spaces to showcase artists and musicians. Music Box Supper Club will host two indoor stages for us, complete with a fabulous view of the river. McCarthy’s has opened their arms and is excited to welcome Brite to the West Bank. Yes, Cleveland’s oldest bar, The Harbor Inn will join in for our winter festivities. We also owe a nod to the folks at Nautica for facilitating the use of their outdoor space, always the unique part of Brite.
More sponsors than ever join Brite this year! These are the people who help keep Brite free. We’re excited to introduce you to our presenting sponsor, CoverMyMeds. They are a Cleveland area company that has doubled down on our city to grow its future. CoverMyMeds is developing a community of talent much like we’ve been trying to build the arts and music community. We couldn’t be more excited that they are investing in Northeast Ohio and that we can support them in that quest.
We’re joined by some old friends, too. Cleveland Clothing Company and Tri-C JazzFest are returning to present you with music. The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority is back to help get you around. RGI, ImageLab Media, Norwalk Concrete and the Cleveland Museum of Art will continue contributing to the elevation our visual arts. We are also grateful for catalytic grant awards from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture and The George Gund Foundation.
We’ve dropped a lot of names. What can we say? Brite wouldn’t be here without support from these local organizations. We are very appreciative for their valor to celebrate in the dead of winter. Likewise, we are ecstatic that Brite represents a community coming together, showing how great Cleveland is.
See you in February!
