Cleveland has had quite the year. The Cavs. The RNC. The Tribe. Public Square. Accolades from near and far. For once, we’re not saying, “Well, there’s always next year.” It IS next year, and we’ve hit our stride. And Brite Winter has hit its stride. We are proud to now be another Cleveland institution—one that helps over 20,000 members of our community celebrate its greatness year round.

For our 8th annual Brite Winter, we returned to the Flats West Bank, which again welcomed us with unseasonably warm weather and record-breaking crowds. Our focus this year was on getting even more community members involved in the planning and execution of Brite Winter. Our 40 selection committee members created a lineup of bands that better represents the vast diversity of talent from the music community in our region. Our community art workshops and partnerships with Dia de Muertos and Sankofa Fine Arts engaged more artists and volunteers in making the world a
more creative, beautiful place. While there is always work to be done, we are proud of the progress we’ve made toward reflecting the community we serve.

Eight years spanning 3 locations, tens of thousands of guests, hundreds of bands and artists, and temperatures as low as 8 and as high as 69 degrees—Brite Winter has always been a festival we create with the community, not just for it. Never in our history has that been more true than today. And never in our history have we been more proud.

See you next year.
